Stephenie Meyer to serve as producer on 'Austenland'

Stephenie Meyer, who took her first turn as a producer on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, will be taking on a new project, Austenland, a film adaptation of her friend and fellow author Shannon Hale's book of the same name.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the screenplay was co-written by Hale and Napoleon Dynamite screenwriter Jerusha Hess, who will direct. Meyer will produce under her own company (co-owned with Meghan Tilly) Fickle Fish Films.

The description for the book, which debuted in 2007, is as follows:
