It’s almost insulting to label Anna Kendrick a “Twilight alum” since the actress has already established herself in films outside of the Twilight universe, most notably in UP IN THE AIR. But for millions of fans out there, she’ll always be known as Jessica Stanley in TWILIGHT. But she continues to show the world she’s much more than that and has just signed on to star in the gritty cop drama END OF WATCH. She and ‘Detroit 1-8-7′ star Natalie Martinez will be playing the love interests to the policemen played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena. Frequent visitors to the site recall the promo pictures of END OF WATCH that surfaced back in April from the film.
The film will follow two cops as they come to terms with life as cops and the pressures it puts on their friendship and their families. David Ayer will be directing the film and apparently he feels at home with the gritty cop genre after directing HARSH TIMES and STREET KINGS as well as writing cop dramas like TRAINING DAY and DARK BLUE.
