The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 Gets PG-13 Rating

Photobucket
ComingSoon.net Maybe it isn't that big a surprise to some or most, but it is official that Summit Entertainment's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, directed by Bill (Dreamgirls Condon, has received a rating from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) of "PG-13," just like the previous three movies. This rating is based on "disturbing images, violence, sexuality/partial nudity and some thematic elements" according to the MPAA label, so presumably they found a way to film some of the more controversial aspects of Stephenie Meyers' final book in a way that didn't get the movie a deadly R-rating. If you've been keeping up with the Volvo advertisement campaigns which have been associated with the Twilight Saga so far, you'll know that with both The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the company hosted huge contests to win similar cars as what "Edward" (Robert Pattinson) drove in each film. The first, for New Moon, was called the "What Drives Edward" campaign, and for Eclipse, fans got "Lost in Forks."

Examiner: Five New Revelations About 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'

Entertainment Weekly's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 special edition issue has hit stands today, and in addition to offering great new pictures from the film and an account of the six month production process for both Part 1 and Part 2, it also revealed a few new facts about Breaking Dawn's film translation.

Why Robert Pattinson can't wait for 'Breaking Dawn Pt 2'

It’s clear that the stars of The Twilight Saga have become close over the years — particularly during the long process of shooting Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2 (in theaters November 2011 and 2012). “Having to spend so much time with people…it’s just nice when you like them. There is a real bond. I think also there’s something humbling about wearing the makeup and contacts,” says Robert Pattinson.

Kristen Stewart on the 'Breaking Dawn' baby decision: 'I'm so on Bella's Side'

We won’t get a chance to see Breaking Dawn until it’s in theaters in November, but in this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly we got a first look at some of the action, as well as hearing from The Twilight Saga‘s cast and stars (warning: spoilers ahead!).

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart filming Breaking Dawn reshoots

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson reportedly spent weekend filming

It sounds like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are having no trouble making time for each other as the two allegedly spent the weekend filming honeymoon scenes for ‘Breaking Dawn.’

The two were reportedly in St. Thomas where they filmed additional love scenes for ‘Twilight,’ states HollywoodLife. It even sounds like Stewart and Pattinson got to enjoy the time alone as they filmed.

However, other ‘Twilight’ stars like Kellan Lutz and Peter Facinelli were reportedly doing some filming in Vancouver.

Kristen Stewart Spotted On Set Wearing Wedding Ring! (PHOTOS)

Kristen Stewart is wrapping up filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2, and she was snapped earlier this week sporting some left-handed jewelry.

The Twilight leading lady and her co-stars Guri Weinberg and Noel Fisher were on the set in Vancouver, and Kristen was wearing the wedding ring Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) gives her character Bella Swan in the film. In real-life romance news, it’s looking like things are getting hot and heavy between Kristen and R. Patz…

'Breaking Dawn' Wedding Day Was 'Wet And Cold,' Peter Facinelli Says

Earlier this week, MTV News learned of an exciting "Twilight" and "American Idol" mash-up between Peter Facinelli and "Idol" castoff Paul McDonald on the "Loosies" soundtrack. Naturally, we couldn't let Facinelli hang up the phone until we addressed another important subject matter: "Breaking Dawn."

Unlike co-star Robert Pattinson, Facinelli has yet to wrap his work on the "Twilight" saga.

"I still have another two weeks of second-unit stunt work, so for me, it doesn't feel quite done yet," he said. "I haven't really had that moment of remorse or blues, you know, the blues of finishing. I'm in the midst of still finishing myself."

Regarding a few key scenes that his co-stars have mentioned — specifically the Taylor Lautner vs. Kristen Stewart fight scene — Facinelli agreed that seeing the much smaller Stewart take on Lautner was entertaining.

"Oh yes, I was there for that," he said. "[It was] very funny. ... But you have to kick his butt a little bit," Facinelli added about the idea of Lautner's character Jacob imprinting on Bella and Edward's daughter Renesmee.

“Although he couldn’t go into too much detail, we asked Facinelli to describe the heavily hyped wedding scene for us.

'Twilight' film studio going after 'Breaking Dawn' photo leaker

As you know, a few weeks ago, several images from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn were leaked to the internet, causing the filmmakers to reach out to Twilight fans with a request not to look at or distribute the images for the sake of maintaining the element of surprise.

Later, Robert Pattinson expressed his dismay over the matter, saying "Twilight fans, punish them. Police your own."

Now, it seems, film studio Summit Entertainment is taking action on the matter. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has "filed a lawsuit against ten John Does . . . so that Summit could serve subpoenas and identify anonymous individuals who were distributing photos on Twitter."
