Bower’s Camelot won’t see a second season, Mortal Instruments filming to get under way this fall

Jamie Campbell Bower’s TV show Camelot will not have a second season. Scheduling for his new film The Mortal Instruments had been on hold because he was contractually obligated to film Camelot if season 2 got the green light. So we can expect Instruments to begin filming as early as October.

Every time I turn around it seems like some film is being promoted as “The Next Twilight”. Now personally I don’t think anything is “The Next Twilight” anymore than I thought Twilight was “The Next Harry Potter”. I always want to ask those folks, “A wizard coming-of-age tale and a vampire romance are the same how exactly?” On the other hand, giving these well-intentioned people the benefit of the doubt, they are probably talking about the next big breakout hit. In any case this whole “The Next” obsession got me thinking. Who is the next Twilight Saga star to hit that the next level of success? Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are all now A-list stars. So when it comes to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, who’s got breakout, superstar potential?

It was announced this week that Jamie Campbell Bower will play opposite Lily in the role of Jace Wayland, the snarky and sexy shadowhunter. The internet was in an uproar (à la Robert Pattinson after his casting for Edward Cullen) about the casting choice. So Cassandra Clare took to her blog by way of Hollywood Crush to explain her feeling about the audition and final casting.

What does it feel like to finally have Jace cast? It’s been such a long process.
First, it’s an incredible relief. There have been so many… There is all this stuff that goes on behind the scenes and fans are like, ‘Nothing is happening.’ And I’m like, ‘Lots and lots of stuff is happening.’ They’re auditioning hundreds of guys and looking at all of these people, and nobody is quite right. It feels like the search for the Fountain of Youth—you’re never going to find it. So you can’t go forward with the project until Jace is signed off on.

Gossip Cop is bringing us a very happy story today. They were able to confirm that Jamie Campbell Bower and Bonnie Wright are indeed engaged to be married. Jamie has recently tweeted about finally being home after nine months on the road, and apparently wanted to set the record straight on his relationship with Bonnie. Read more below:

Jamie Campbell Bower and Bonnie Wright are engaged, the actor confirms.

Bower, who appears in both the Harry Potter and Twilight Saga franchises, has been reluctant in the past to discuss his relationship with Potter co-star Wright, but he set the record straight with The Daily.

“I am engaged. I’m very happy,” says Bower. “It’s a wonderful, wonderful time.”

He declined to talk about specific wedding plans.

Bower also plays a young King Arthur in the new Starz series “Camelot.”

Jamie Campbell Bower was thrust into the world of "Twilight" as Caius in "New Moon," and he'll be back vamping it up in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" next year. And the actor admits that as he preps to return to the "Twilight" set in 2012 for the final "Twilight Saga" movie, fans of the franchise will get to see just how bad Caius and the rest of the Volturi are.

"Well, [director] Bill Condon, he brings something wonderful and a sort of theatricalness to the whole film," Bower explained to MTV News when he stopped by to talk about his new Starz series "Camelot."

Apparently Jamie is done filming both Breaking Dawn and Camelot. So sad it is all coming to an end!

In this great article from the Examiner, they summarized what all of us fans have been dreading for months, the end of the Twilight movies are coming soon . While I’m really excited to watch Breaking Dawn, it’s definitely bittersweet knowing there isn’t another movie to come.

On Monday, Peter Facinelli ("Carlisle Cullen" in the Twilight Saga) returned to Vancouver, British Columbia to resume his work on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and alerted his fans on Twitter that there is "One more month to go." The original schedule, posited by Production Weekly last year, had the dates for filming listed as: November 8th, 2010 to April 22nd, 2011.

Even if you don’t know each plot twist and turn from the final book in Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling series, every self-respecting Twihard is aware that Breaking Dawn features Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) becoming vampire man and wife and sharing a marital bed for the first time. ”Finally!” laughs director Bill Condon. ”It is one of the most anticipated scenes, and I spent a tremendous amount of time thinking about it. You want to play with what people expect and maybe subvert it a little and surprise them.”

Robert Pattinson & The ‘Breaking Dawn’ Vampires Wild Boys’ Night Out Without Kristen Stewart! Exclusive!

Rob and cast mates including Jamie Campbell-Bower, Jackson Rathbone and Kellan Lutz party it up with some dinner and shots in Baton Rouge during a break from filming!
They may be hard at work filming Breaking Dawn in Louisiana, but it looks like the Twilight boys are still finding ways to blow off steam! In what may be one of the biggest cast assemblages yet, HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively that Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Jamie Campbell-Bower, Michael Sheen and a few of the other male cast members enjoyed a night of sushi and shots at Tsunami in Baton Rouge Jan. 25. Sadly, it looks like no girls were invited!


A source inside the swanky restaurant says, “The boys got there around 9:30 pm and sat at a table, there were about 15 of them. They stayed until closing, sometime between 11:30ish or midnight. Rob sat next to Jamie and was pretty low key in a hoodie!” A Cullen fraternizing with a Volturi?! Scandalous!

“A girl from a nearby table ordered them a round of lemon drop shots, and the bartender took it with them,” the source went on to say. “Rob was really nice and introduced himself to the bartender and seemed really happy and down-to-earth.”

The popular eatery, located inside the Shaw Center for the Arts, was also an affordable choice for the boys with most entrees under $20!

The cast headed home afterwards, save Jackson and Kellan, and sadly it seems like the evening left Jamie feeling not so great! The actor tweeted Jan. 26, “Yup. Raw fish and red wine came back to bite me on the arse. X.” Ouch!

It appears that it was back to work for the cast Jan. 26 in Baton Rouge — perhaps to film that wedding scene after two straight days of rain!

Let’s just hope that if Rob and the boys got a night out, Kristen and the girls — and Taylor Lautner for that matter — did the same!
