What can you say about what you’ll be doing in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn?

MICHAEL SHEEN: It’s the same part that I played before – Aro.

Was there anything you got to discover in playing him this time around, that you hadn’t learned the last time you played him?

SHEEN: He’s more of a presence in these films than he was in New Moon, so I got to explore the character a bit more and probably fleshed it out a bit more. I don’t think that there’s anything that I learned. I just was able to go into the insanity of the character a bit more. I got to show what’s under the surface a bit more this time, which was fun.

“Oh this is very amped up, yeah,” Sheen revealed. “This is, I think we spent something like four or five weeks shooting that scene and it takes up a big chunk of the movie,” he added. “And it’s got extraordinary things going on in it, so it certainly won’t be anticlimactic.”

Sheen’s comments will hopefully be music to the ears of “Twilight” fans hoping for some actual action in those big final sequences, and they fall in line with the bits and pieces of information we’ve derived from other castmembers. Peter Facinelli told us a few months ago that he’d been doing some intense scene work with “a lot of vampires.”

Breaking Dawn Filming : “One Month to Go”

In this great article from the Examiner, they summarized what all of us fans have been dreading for months, the end of the Twilight movies are coming soon . While I’m really excited to watch Breaking Dawn, it’s definitely bittersweet knowing there isn’t another movie to come.

On Monday, Peter Facinelli ("Carlisle Cullen" in the Twilight Saga) returned to Vancouver, British Columbia to resume his work on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and alerted his fans on Twitter that there is "One more month to go." The original schedule, posited by Production Weekly last year, had the dates for filming listed as: November 8th, 2010 to April 22nd, 2011.

They may be hard at work filming Breaking Dawn in Louisiana, but it looks like the Twilight boys are still finding ways to blow off steam! In what may be one of the biggest cast assemblages yet, HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively that Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Jamie Campbell-Bower, Michael Sheen and a few of the other male cast members enjoyed a night of sushi and shots at Tsunami in Baton Rouge Jan. 25. Sadly, it looks like no girls were invited!


A source inside the swanky restaurant says, “The boys got there around 9:30 pm and sat at a table, there were about 15 of them. They stayed until closing, sometime between 11:30ish or midnight. Rob sat next to Jamie and was pretty low key in a hoodie!” A Cullen fraternizing with a Volturi?! Scandalous!

“A girl from a nearby table ordered them a round of lemon drop shots, and the bartender took it with them,” the source went on to say. “Rob was really nice and introduced himself to the bartender and seemed really happy and down-to-earth.”

The popular eatery, located inside the Shaw Center for the Arts, was also an affordable choice for the boys with most entrees under $20!

The cast headed home afterwards, save Jackson and Kellan, and sadly it seems like the evening left Jamie feeling not so great! The actor tweeted Jan. 26, “Yup. Raw fish and red wine came back to bite me on the arse. X.” Ouch!

It appears that it was back to work for the cast Jan. 26 in Baton Rouge — perhaps to film that wedding scene after two straight days of rain!

Let’s just hope that if Rob and the boys got a night out, Kristen and the girls — and Taylor Lautner for that matter — did the same!

Michael Sheen tipped to play Bond villain

Port Talbot actor Michael Sheen, 41, is being linked to the infamous role in the next instalment of the Bond franchise on which filming is due to start later this year.

Daniel Craig is to return as Bond and Dame Judy Dench is to reprise her role as M in the as yet untitled movie which will be “Bond 23”.

Sheen is said to have been identified by MGM producer Barbara Broccoli as a “perfect fit” for the role of the evil genius.


Blofeld has been played by the likes of Telly Savalas, Charles Gray, Donald Pleasence and Max Von Sydow.

Complete with white Persian cat, the nemesis of the British Secret Service made his last appearances in Bond’s 1980 outing For Your Eyes Only, when he was “killed” after being dropped down a chimney, and in the 1983 Warner Brothers’ film Never Say Never Again.

Now Sheen, critically acclaimed for playing Tony Blair, Brian Clough, Kenneth Williams and David Frost is being lined up as the modern Blofeld.

The in-demand Welsh actor was originally recommended for the role by his friend Peter Morgan, who worked with him when he played Blair in The Queen. Morgan wrote one of the first screenplays for the 23rd Bond film before the project ran into financial trouble and other writers were drafted in.

It is believed producers cast their eye over Sheen, 41, last summer on Morgan's advice and are now looking at him again.

Sheen is in Louisiana filming the final two instalments of the phenomenally successfully Twilight vampire saga, Breaking Dawn, in which he plays vampire leader Aro.

Yesterday, Sheen’s father Meyrick, 70, from Baglan, Port Talbot, a professional Jack Nicholson lookalike, said his son would be “fantastic” for the role of Blofeld.

He said: “It’s one of the great character roles in the Bond movies, just the type of the thing Michael loves doing.

“I loved the Bond movies and have seen them all and I’m pretty sure Michael has too. I’m sure he’d love to do it if it ties in with his schedule.

“He’s making Breaking Dawn at the moment, part of the Twilight Series which is absolutely huge with teenagers. I keep getting youngsters coming up to me asking for Michael’s photo...it’s brought him a whole new audience and his daughter Lily claims to have read the Twilight books 10 times.”

Blofeld is one of the most famous Bond villains, appearing in From Russia With Love (1963), Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice (1967), On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969) and Diamonds Are Forever (1971) and in the pre-title teaser of For Your Eyes Only as well as in the unofficial Never Say Never Again, the 1983 remake of Thunderball.

Aside from confirming Bond 23 is go, studio officials are releasing few details but say the next Bond will be in the gritty tradition of the last two instalments.

Dame Judy Dench said of the project: “I have been told I am wanted by the producers for the spring of 2011.”

The latest instalment is to be directed by Sam Mendes, the Academy Award-winning former husband of Kate Winslet, known for his classy dramas such as American Beauty.

Moviebit.com editor Vic Barry said: “Bond 23 is a much-needed money-spinner for MGM, who, let’s face it, need every cent they can get and Bond will deliver that in big suitcases.”

Chris Hewitt, of film magazine Empire, said: “Peter Morgan is one of the hottest and best screenwriters around and he worked on the early drafts.

“This also means that Michael Sheen could be a shoo-in for the bad guy role, right? And that bad guy is going to be Ernst Stavro Blofeld, right?

“We all know that Sheen worked with Morgan on Frost/Nixon, but he also brought Tony Blair and The Queen to the big screen with fantastic performances by Sheen.”

The character of Blofeld was dreamed up by the writer of the Bond novels Ian Fleming who portrayed him as a German who initially sold secrets to the Nazis, then the Allies in World War 11 before establishing the global crime network Spectre (Special Executive for Counter Intelligence, Revenge and Extortion)
