Nikki and Paul married: Congrats

Nikki Reed married former American Idol contestant Paul McDonald this past Sunday in a small Malibu, Calif. gathering. The duo first met just a mere seven months ago at the Little Red Riding Hood premiere in March.

According to Us Weekly, Reed, 23, and McDonald, 27, married in front of 100 guests on a private ranch. "We couldn't be happier!" Reed exclaimed. "[We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We're so glad this day has come!"

Nikki and Paul announced their engagement in June only two months after dating. Paul had commented, "I haven't actually ever watched any of her movies. I don't know too much of her career at all, but the person she is is super cool."



Lastly, it's still just so odd how the two only met a few months ago. At least now Paul has no excuse. He best have caught up with the vampire films before hitting the red carpet events with the new wife when Breaking Dawn comes out.

Nikki Reed Celebrates Her Birthday Early in Las Vegas

Nikki Reed was out on the town this weekend in Las Vegas as she had an early celebration for her 23rd birthday. While Nikki’s birthday isn’t actually until this Tuesday, she was seen dining at the Sugar Factory before dancing away at Planet Hollywood’s Gallery Nightclub, all with Paul McDonald. Report: Nikki Reed Lands Idol Boyfriend

Well done Nikki Reed. The Twilight actress is allegedly dating American Idol contestant Paul McDonald. We’ve long given up on watching Idol, so we have no idea if this dude is the next big thing or the next Blake Lewis. Either way, he’s kinda already won by landing Nikki. The two met at the premiere of Red Riding Hood – McDonald was there with the Idol crew, Nikki was supporting Twilight director and pal Catherine Hardwicke. Nikki actually approached McDonald, introduced herself, gushed and then awkwardly ran away, leaving McDonald to declare, “Was she a famous actress or something? I’d hang out with her.”

Nikki Reed (“Rosalie Hale” in the Twilight Saga) has been enjoying a busy few weeks in between production sessions on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. As you know, she hit up the premiere of Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood earlier this week, and this weekend, she went to Nashville’s Official Twilight Convention stop. Before the latter, though, she attended the fashion line show for UK Style by French Connection, and ReelzChannel caught up with her to discuss Breaking Dawn’s filming.

Last night, the premiere for Red Riding Hood took place in Hollywood, California, and Catherine Hardwicke (director of the film and Twilight) and Nikki Reed ("Rosalie Hale" in the Twilight Saga) joined stars from the film like Amanda Seyfried, Shiloh Fernandez, and Gary Oldman on the red carpet for the event (note: while Billy Burke does star in Red Riding Hood, he has been busy in Vancouver, British Columbia filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, so chances are that is why he was not in attendance).

While on the premiere line, several outlets posed the question of how the film relates to Twilight, aside from being directed by Hardwicke and featuring Burke.

Per USA Today, the question was fielded rather well by Catherine Hardwicke.
