'Twilight' sweeps 2011 MTV Movie Awards

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse dominated the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.

Hosted by Jason Sudeikis, the awards show started off with a spoof of The Hangover Part II in which Sudeikis attempted to track down Taylor Lautner after losing him during a supposed night of debauchery.

A highlight of the night was presenter Jim Carrey's outfit. The Mr. Popper's Penguins actor donned a green screen suit onto which he projected footage of two dogs engaged in intercourse.

Robert Pattinson's Best Fight Joke: 'Eclipse' Co-Stars Didn't Get It

It was something of a surprise for everyone in the "Twilight" cast when the epic fight scene at the end of "Eclipse" beat out "Inception," "The Fighter," "Kick-Ass" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" for the Best Fight Golden Popcorn. But what had co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel scratching their heads even more was the joke Robert Pattinson made at the end of his acceptance speech. The joke came after Bryce apologized to Rob for trying to kill him in the movie. "It's fine," he responded. "I ripped your head off, and now you're pregnant." Cut to Kristen Stewart mouthing, "What?" and ducking her head in embarrassment.

"That was a really advanced joke," Bryce said. "I didn't get it."

"I'm not sure what..." Xavier started before trailing off in confusion. "I guess in 'Breaking Dawn' Bella's pregnant, so I guess that's the joke?"

But the duo definitely did know why they won the award even if they didn't necessarily think they had the best movie fight. Bryce explained it best by saying, "Two words: Robert Pattinson. That's why."

Kristen Stewart mentioned by “One the Road” screenwriter Jose Rivera and Goth Rocker Peter Murphy

Looks like Kristen Stewart has some fans out there. In 2 separate interview, On the Road screenwriter and Goth rocker Peter Murphy had this to say about Kristen :
Jose Rivera, ‘On The Road’ Scriptwriter talks about Kristen and her character, Marylou :
“Kristen Stewart plays Marylou, and she’s really the female lead of the film. She’s the only woman that goes on the journey with the guys and is sassy and crazy in her own way. One of the great things that we had, before the film was shot, was Marylou’s actual daughter, Anne Marie, was part of production. She and Kristen spent a lot of time together talking about her mom and stuff like that.”
Peter Murphy, a famous English rock musician and goth icon who had a cameo in Eclipse as the ‘Cold One’ said the following :

2011 MTV Movie Awards Voting Has Begun!!

The power of the Golden Popcorn is once again yours! Starting today, we’re asking you to cast your votes and select the nominees for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in 13 categories ranging from the familiar (Best Movie, Best Kiss) to the brand-new (Best Line from a Movie).

Can “Eclipse” reprise the success of “Twilight” (seven nods) and “New Moon” (five nods) before it? Will Biggest Badass star go to Robert Downey Jr.’s sardonic, super-suited hero in “Iron Man 2,” to Angelina Jolie for her acrobatic brawling in “Salt,” or someone else entirely? Which star’s unforgettable line — Liam Neeson’s plea to release the Kraken? Justin Timberlake’s insistence that only a billion dollars is truly cool? — will be the first to take home this award? For a third-straight year, it’s up to you!

Here’s how it’ll work: Starting Tuesday (March 22) and running through April 5, you can log onto MovieAwards.MTV.com to nominate your favorite movies, stars and crazy cinematic moments. Once the final nominees are announced, head back to the site to vote for the winners from May 3 through June 4. Voting for Best Movie, however, will remain open throughout the live ceremony on June 5 — meaning you’ll have a chance to affect the night’s biggest prize until the very last minute.

MTV Australia Talks to Xavier Samuel About Eclipse

MTV Austraila caught up with Xavier Samuel and asked him about his time spent on Eclipse:

“MTV: Were you ever worried about just being known as the guy who was in ‘Twilight’?

Xavier: That never crossed my mind. I just felt really lucky to be cast in a role that wasn’t your average villain. There was a bit of complexity to this guy, but I never really felt like, I’m going to be playing vampires for the rest of my life!

Flecking Awards winner: Robert Pattinson ,Kristen Stewart,Twilight Eclipse

Flecking Awards: Robert Pattinson is the Sexiest Vampire
And the award for Sexiest Vampire goes to… Robert Pattinson.

You guys have voted Robert Pattinson as the sexiest vampire. Rob picked up the award for his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight flicks.

It’s the role that 24-year-old Rob is probably the most famous for. He isn’t the scariest looking vampire, but he does sparkle. Which we love.

Other sexy vampires up for the award were Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries), Stephen Moyer (True Blood), Kellan Lutz (Twilight), Matt Lanter (Vampires Suck), Sam Witwer (Being Human), Jackson Rathbone (Twilight), Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood), Harry Judd (Nowhere Left To Run), Peter Facinelli (Twilight), Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries)
and Charlie Bewley (Twilight).

Congratulations Robert!

'MTV First: Robert Pattinson' Countdown: Rob Forgets He's Live!

The day has finally arrived!! It's Robert Pattinson day! (We're not sure if March 18 is officially his day, but it might as well be around MTV.) In just a few short hours, RPattz himself will be live on MTV answering fan questions and premiering a new clip from his film "Water for Elephants." We've been counting down our favorite Robert Pattinson MTV moments in honor of this glorious occasion

So without further ado, we present the No. 1 Rob moment. With so many excellent options, it was hard to pick just one. But you'll see why this one easily takes the cake.
Last June, Rob chatted up MTV at the premiere of "Eclipse." When asked if he was looking forward to the "Twilight" franchise being behind him, he gave a very colorful answer. Forgetting the interview was streaming live. Ooops!

Only one Razzie for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”

It was the most nominated film in the 2010 Golden Raspberry Awards competition, but the results are in and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” is far from the worst. It was beat out in nearly every category for which it was nominated, leaving the stars and the film itself (mostly) unscathed. The only “win” went to Jackson Rathbone, who got Worst Supporting Actor for his work in both “Eclipse” and “The Last Airbender”.

Of the ten categories in which Razzies were awarded this year, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was nominated in eight. From Worst Picture, to Worst Actress (Kristen Stewart), to Worst Supporting Actor (Jackson Rathbone), to Worst Ensemble Cast, To Worst Screenplay (Melissa Rosenberg), to Worst Director (David Slade), to Worst Prequel/Rip-off/Sequel, “Eclipse” was in the race. It even saw itself nominated twice in the same category: Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson both got nods for Worst Actor.
