Robert Pattinson says “every difficult moment vanished” during his last days on the Twilight set

The 25-year-old British actor stars as Edward Cullen in the popular vampire franchise. The final installments in the series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2, are due for release in November 2011 and November 2012 respectively.

Kristen, Robert’s real-life girlfriend, plays Bella Swan in the film series. The pair were in Canada with the rest of the crew when the end of filming was announced, but Robert insists his and Kristin’s last experience was far more thrilling.

“But my last day, strictly speaking, came a bit later and it was amazing,” he told French magazine Premiere.

“Part of the crew got back together to film additional shots in the Caribbean. It was just Kristen and I, no worries… We were shooting in the sea so I didn’t have to have make-up on or wear my contacts. It was so hot, at the end of the day we all went out for cocktails on the beach, watching the sun rise.

“I then asked myself why we didn’t do this in those four years. Every difficult moment just vanished.”

Robert says his experience outshone the rest of the crews’. The Hollywood actor described the underwhelming moment the rest of the franchise’s crew wrapped.

“We were in Canada for the last day of shooting with the entire crew. A normal day on the set of Breaking Dawn, we were shooting at night, it was freezing and raining,” he explained.

“When the first assistant announced the end with his clapperboard, everybody locked themselves up in their trailer without even having a last drink.”
