ROBERT Pattinson splattered with pie

ROBERT Pattinson was left cream-crackered in Toronto this week after getting splattered with pie.

But Twilight fans need not panic that their heartthrob is under attack.

The incident came while the actor was shooting scenes for his new movie Cosmopolis.

Weary Rob looked miffed as the yellow and white custard gunk dripped down his sleek new locks on to his face and white shirt.

But his character Eric Parker's day didn't get any better when he realised his white limo had been vandalised by graffiti.
Steve_s2002 "Robert Pattinson's white limo in Cosmopolis have been vandalized... Wow!!! Check it out. Here's another pic of Rob's white limo that now has Graffiti all over it. This is crazy. It says "Rat" on the one side. And yes that is a Real pic of Rob's white limo in Cosmopolis. They are using it in the scene."
Updated with pics of Eric Packer's 'vandalized limo' - Spoilers .

Guri Weinberg Updates Blog and Explains Inside Running Joke

When you're shooting on location for 5 months, you come up with some pretty juvenile inside jokes, catchphrases and pranks. For example, what started as three extremely tired actors getting exceptionally silly while grocery shopping at Whole Foods turned into an elaborate game between myself, Lee Pace and Christian Camargo wherein one of us would, at any time or place, kick one of the others in the shin as hard as we could and then run away.

But that's another blog.

New Moon director Chris Weitz's 'A Better Life' gets good reviews

Review: 'A Better Life' offers a direct and devastating emotional experience

Hitflix reviews Chris Weitz's 'A Better Life'
For Chris, the high watermark so far has been "About A Boy," the 2002 film he made starring Hugh Grant and a young Nicolas Hoult. I love that film. I love the performances, and I especially love the way it seems to take its time and leave a lot of room for raw humanity, in no hurry to get to the clever concept or the big twist. It's a simple film, direct and real. Since then, "The Golden Compass" and "Twilight: New Moon" both felt like detours that did nothing for Weitz as a filmmaker, but I understand the freedom that a hit like "New Moon" buys for you as a director, and it looks to me like Weitz cashed that freedom in on his new film, and it may be the best choice he's ever made.

There's no way to deny that the script, with story by Roger L. Simon and screenplay by Eric Eason, owes a nod to the structure of the classic Vittorio De Sica film "Bicycle Thieves," and I'm sure Weitz would acknowledge it. But if you think this is just a remake of that movie, or just a modern update of it, you'd be wrong. The basic structure allows Weitz to use the movie as part of a larger conversation about the modern immigrant experience, and the divided world that is Los Angeles.

London casting call for #SWATH: they're looking for more dwarfs.

Wanted: Actors under 4ft 6in ... applicants can be happy, grumpy, even a little dopey

A London casting company has launched a global hunt for men who are under 4ft 6in to appear alongside the 5ft 9½in actress in a new film.

Universal, the studio making Snow White And The Huntsman, is looking for up to 10 "vertically challenged" actors to take the part of the dwarfs in the remake of the traditional fairytale.

The brief is so specialised they are searching the globe to find the right candidates with applications from as far away as New Zealand and Australia. Producers are not looking simply for professional actors but it will help if applicants can ride a horse.

Sarah Dickinson, director of the Casting Collective, said: "Anyone of the right height will be considered as long as they are fit and able. This is an unusual opportunity for people to come forward. We will be looking for handsome 6ft men as extras as well so no one is left out."

Filming will mainly take place in London and the South-East from next month until December.

The successful actors will be on set with Theron, who will play the Evil Queen, and Twilight star Kristen Stewart as Snow White.

Briton Warwick Davis, who is 3ft 6in and runs an agency for actors under five feet, has played Professor Flitwick in all the Harry Potter films and Griphook in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Mr Davis, 41, said: "This is a great opportunity for shorter actors. It is something that can make a career and change someone's life."

Celebuzz Anyone you would love to work with again?
CW: Kristen, Rob, and Taylor. If they let me! Sure.

What does it mean to have the support of your former cast-members like Kristen and Taylor here tonight?
It’s tremendous. I think it’s really cool. I mean because every time they come out, they face a gamut of fans and get screamed at and everything and they have to dress up and think like ‘Oh what am I supposed to wear tonight.’ It would much easier for them to just watch the DVD at home. I’m really touched that they’ve come out tonight, and it’s great to see them because I’m really fond of them. Read more

The 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' Countdown: Who Has Breakout Star Potential

Laura Byrne-Cristiano co-owner of The Twilight Lexicon, the longest continuously operating Twilight Saga fansite on the web writes an article about next break out star from twilight. Do add your comments and views on who will be the next breakout star..

Every time I turn around it seems like some film is being promoted as “The Next Twilight”. Now personally I don’t think anything is “The Next Twilight” anymore than I thought Twilight was “The Next Harry Potter”. I always want to ask those folks, “A wizard coming-of-age tale and a vampire romance are the same how exactly?” On the other hand, giving these well-intentioned people the benefit of the doubt, they are probably talking about the next big breakout hit. In any case this whole “The Next” obsession got me thinking. Who is the next Twilight Saga star to hit that the next level of success? Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are all now A-list stars. So when it comes to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, who’s got breakout, superstar potential?

Rathbone later talked about Aim High, saying:

"We’re making this really interesting . . . web series if you will. It’s a new media content piece . . . I play a character Nick Greene who is a high school student and also leads a double life as a U.S. operative. So, basically, during the day he’s trying to get the girl of his dreams, and at night he goes out and stops Russian mercenaries from stealing radioactive parts."

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Attend Chris Weitz’s ‘A Better Life’ Premiere

Both Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner turned out last night for the big Los Angeles Film Festival premiere of their former New Moon director, Chris Weitz’s A Better Life. Kristen and Taylor were seen on the red carpet to support Chris, and Kristen even got a hug from the director. Check out the pictures below:

Chris Weitz talks 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' and 'A Better Life'

The Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz's A Better Life premiered last night at the L.A. Film Festival, but before hitting the red carpet, he stopped to talk to a few Twilight sites about his film. The full transcript for the interview is below:

Q: How were you able to get such amazing emotions out of the actors, especially [Jose Julian] – I just read on his page that he’s never done anything like this before. The movie’s so powerful; how did you get the actors to portray that on-screen?

Chris Weitz: Well, I mean Demian Bichir is a big actor in Mexico. He’s been in many movies; he’s incredibly technically accomplished and a brilliant actor so that was never in doubt for me. Of course, when you’re starting with a newcomer, you don’t really know what you’re going to get, but I think the thing that we managed to do was to schedule it so that the scenes which he was being a difficult teen and kind of a pain in the butt were early on, which is kind of easier for a sixteen-year-old actor to go to, and then the more emotional scenes, by the time we got around to shooting that, he had lived in our little circus for you know a couple of months. He had learned from Demian; he had learned how to focus; he had been through all this thinking about things, and so that helped him. And of course acting with Demian when he’s delivering that sort of final speech in the detention center, I would find it hard not to convey a hell of a lot of emotion myself.

'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' calendar preview and pre-ordering

As with each installment of the Twilight Saga to-date, a 16-month calendar featuring images from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 will be available before the film's theatrical release (the calendar debuts on August 1st, and the film hits theaters on November 18th).

A preview image of the calendar was recently unveiled at TwiFans, and in it, one can see several new promotional images of the cast. Included in those promo shots are Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, and Jackson Rathbone.

The calendar is currently available for pre-ordering at Amazon.com for around ten dollars.

What's interesting about calendar images is that they really spotlight the focal characters of Part 1, the "Cullens" and "Jacob." One might imagine that a 2013 calendar for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 might include a heap of other characters (in fact, they might end up being grouped according to covens for the sheer volume of them).

Twilight cast films among IndieWIRE’s Fall Festival Wishlist

IndieWIRE has createded their Fall Festival Wishlist and several projects from the Twilight cast make an appearance.

”50/50,” directed by Jonathan Levine
Summit has been screening this dramedy for press, and it’s all but assured it’s a build-up to a Toronto debut (its late September release date adds to that theory). Originally titled “I’m With Cancer” (and then “Live With It”), “50/50” stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen and is loosely based on the real-life story of screenwriter Will Reiser. It follows Adam (Gordon-Levitt), a young man diagnosed with cancer and given the titular chances of living. Anna Kendrick (as Adam’s doctor), Bryce Dallas Howard (as his girlfriend) and Anjelica Huston (as his mother, and said to be fantastic) co-star, and the film could end up a surprise fixture in Oscar season, where both Gordon-Levitt and Rogen have yet to make a significant appearance. Robert Pattinson Still In Line For Jeff Buckley Role?

As per MTV: Reports claim the Twilight star is still being considered for the biopic part..
Robert Pattinson could be well on his way to landing his dream role of playing legendary singer, Jeff Buckley, after Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley was ruled out of the biopic.

The Twilight actor has made no secret of his desire to portray the Hallelujah hitmaker in the upcoming flick about his life, previously claiming he was "obsessed" with bagging the role.

Now, the biopic's co-producer Orion Williams has told the Los Angeles Times that R-Pattz IS still in the frame to play Buckley, stating: "Penn is not involved in the film at all. It's crazy how these stories get out. (The producers) are all very unified in our search to find the perfect person to play Jeff."

"When you have a story about an individual like Jeff you get a lot of interest because his life was so impactful and so short. "

He added: "We're being very careful about it as we move forward. It takes a while to perfect this type of film. You've got to do it for the right reasons."

Williams also claimed that early meetings with Rob to discuss the role have been arranged, but casting for the flick does not start until October.

Top ten Robert Pattinson quotes

From the world's best known vampire, here are some of Robert Pattinson's quotes about love, life and the future.

On his childhood:

“Up until I was 12 my sisters used to dress me up as a girl and introduce me as `Claudia`! Twelve was a turning point as I moved to a mixed school and then I became cool and discovered hair gel.”

On his inspiration:

“I aspire to be Jack Nicholson. I love his every single mannerism. I used to try and be him in virtually everything I did, I don`t know why. I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo`s Nest when I was about 13, and I dressed like him. I tried to do his accent. I did everything like him. I think it kind of stuck with me."

On his dream job:

Happy Birthday Edward!

With ‘Potter’ & ‘Twilight’ Winding Down, Studios Hunger for Young Adult Novels

What’s the next “Harry Potter”? How about the next “Twilight Saga”?

With Harry Potter set to conjure his last spell on the big screen next month and the last “Twilight” movie due later this year, the race is on for studios to transform the next young adult literary property into theatrical gold.

There are a number of young adult adaptations in the works: Lionsgate has its hopes pinned on “The Hunger Games,” a New York Times No. 1 bestseller due in theaters next year with Jennifer Lawrence in the lead role. Screen Gems is readying “The Mortal instruments,” first in a series of six popular books, with Lily Collins as its star.

Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote all five of Summit’s “Twilight” films, is writing and producing “Earthseed,” Paramount’s entry into the young adult novel-to-movie sweepstakes.

“‘Twilight’ did really well as movies and suddenly everyone’s like, ‘Let’s get the next of that,’” Rosenberg told TheWrap.

But it’s not easy. New Line had high hopes for “The Golden Compass” in 2007 – a bust at $70 million domestic box office on a $180 million budget.

“A popular book is no guarantee,” said Rosenberg. “What works is good storytelling.”

'Twilight' cast news wrap: snagging roles left and right

Several castmembers from the Twilight series have snagged new roles in other films, so to keep the news short and simple, here's a wrap-up of the latest on that front.

For starters, Anna Kendrick ("Jessica Stanley") is reportedly being considered to portray Jake Gyllenhaal's love interest in End Of Watch. According to Variety, "Story follows the longtime partnership of two LAPD officers as they confront marriage, love, fatherhood and the harsh realities of the Los Angeles streets. Kendrick and [Natalie] Martinez will play the officers' love interest." Kendrick has been doing some really impressive work lately, so it's no surprise that she's being considered here. Her next film, 50/50, hits theaters in September.
