'Twilight' fans are on Team Meyer

When Stephenie Meyer walks into a room of Twilight fans, there's no doubt she's their undisputed vampire queen.

Ten lucky Twilight fans from around the world have come to this metropolitan Canadian city to meet the mega-selling author whose young-adult novels about an alluring vampire and his human soul mate have entranced them since 2005.

It's hard to say who's enjoying this total Twilight talkfest more — the attendees or the writer.

"I just love having the chance to sit down with a small group of fans," says Meyer, who is looking a little more Hollywood these days and a bit less like a suburban mom of three. "Bigger events are just too nerve-racking."

For this literary star, the days of chatting with a few fans at a local bookstore are over. Meyer is an international celebrity. Her books sell in dozens of countries. The film versions are hotly anticipated. Fan sites have gone viral. This two-day chat fest with Meyer, which took place last Friday and Saturday, was a top-secret affair. Even the attendees weren't told where in the world they'd be meeting with Meyer until after they were notified they were among the chosen 10.

But every Twilight fan intuitively knows why Vancouver, home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, is a logical meeting place — the cast and crew of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2, the final movies based on the four-book series, have been filming here since mid-February.

Taylor Lautner Invites Lily Collins To Twilight Set!

Sources claim the pair "looked really close" & are "definitely dating"...

Things seem to be hotting up between Taylor Lautner and his suspected girlfriend, Lily Collins.

Robert Pattinson Talks Music, Movies & What He Misses Most To Di Piu Magazine

Robert Pattinson, the vampire in the twilight saga, looks tired but has a huge smile on his face because right now he is promoting his new movie "Water For Elephants" and he is ready to talk about everything besides kristen stewart, who everyone claims to be his girlfriend. Everyone but him who doesn't even want to talk about it.

Q: Lets talk about water for elephants,as soon as the movie start, on the screen we see a phrase about your character and the fact that he is still waiting for his life to start, that since that moment nothing important has already happen to him. Have you ever had this same feeling? Moreover for you what really was the turning point in your life?

A: My life already started but i didn't reach the turning point yet. Even if i think i reach the turning point every 2 years. Let me explain..every 2/3 years it feels like my life is moving in fastforward and everytime i find myself thinking: What's going to happen now.

Q: So what is going to happen now?

A: I don't know. I think i'm reaching the end of something

Q: Work or personal life?

A: Both. Work in some kind of way is an influence in private life. It's like every 3 movies something in my life changes.

Q: What would you like to do now?

A: I would like to be able to give something more during the production of a movie. After the Twilight Saga I have another project. Cosmopolis, with director David Cronenberg I believe it's going to be fun and a completely different work from the one on the Twilight Saga. And after Cosmopolis i think i want to start something new. I already have some project in mind.

Q: Are you talking about music? Still thinking about being a musician?

A:Yes even though I haven't played in long time. To be clear I don't play every day anymore. For example recently i was in New Orleans and I played piano with a local band in a pub. It was fun and I asked myself: "Why did i stop to playing the piano?" It was incredible and I had so much fun. However working with music needs a lot of time and to do it i would have to leave everything else, take 6 months off just for playing and learning to play piano and guitar again. But at this time in my career i can't afford to do it.

Robert Pattinson Talks Cosmopolis On Cronenberg and, inevitably, Twilight on Empire

Love him (teenage girls everywhere) or loathe him (their boyfriends), Robert "R.Pattz" Pattinson is apparently here to stay. With Water For Elephants out soon, he's gearing up to star in Cosmopolis for David Cronenberg. Yes, you read that right. Yes, this may mean that you have to start liking him. Here's what he had to say about his role.

"I'm just astonished that I've been cast. I'd read the script before and thought, 'Wow, this is insane. But insane and difficult.' And then, out of nowhere, my agent said, 'Do you want to do it?' I'd never thought about working with Cronenberg, but I've always loved his movies. It just never came into my head that there would ever be that opportunity.

Rob's Full Interview with Vanity Fair- Italy

Is it true that the first thing you do when you are given a script is read the first and the last line?
“If the screenwriter is good, the beginning and the its work and there’s a 75% chance it’s a good story. Otherwise, the best thing to do is forget it. Today the problem is that scripts with the worst-written first pages are those that are made into movies and and make more money.”

-Are you saying that Twilight is bad-written?
“Things don’t always work this way. But it’s true that when I first read it, it didn’t appeal to me. I couldn’t understand what was so special and why everybody was so into it.”

The Swan House is officially gone after 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'

As discussed last week, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn's production use of the Swan House set in Vancouver, British Columbia was completed, which meant the site would be once again disassembled - this time, for good.

As a reminder, the Swan House set used for Breaking Dawn was the same one made for The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, but it is not the original Swan House set used in Twilight. The latter remains in St. Helens, Oregon, and the former was constructed similar to the first one (with a few changes - namely, Bella's window space) so that production could be moved to Vancouver rather than the Portland area.

Robert Pattinson praises 'The Hunger Games'

The Hunger Games is featured in an article in the new April 1st issue of Entertainment Weekly, but the cover story for this particular issue is about a different book to movie adaptation.

The cover features Twilight Saga star Robert Pattinson and actress Reese Witherspoon, and the accompanying article focuses on the pair's upcoming adaptation of Sara Gruen's Water for Elephants.

But the writers at EW know how to generate a good cross-over between their various movie audiences, and took the opportunity to ask Pattinson about The Hunger Games.

Sara Vilkomerson Talks About Her Robert Pattinson Interview Experience

Josh Benson Interviews Sara Vilkomerson who interviewed Robert Pattinson for the recent EW issue.
This is a great interview (just like her EW one with Rob was) and she sounds like she has Robert Pattinson down to a tee!

Josh Benson: Can you explain Robert Pattinson to me, please?

Sara Vilkomerson: Oh well gee, where to begin! I guess we should start with Twilight. Are you familiar with it?

Josh: How about let's assume I'm not totally up to speed on it. Just for the sake of this exercise, you understand.

Sara: Mmmhmmm, sure.

In my humble opinion there is an essential part of Twilight that girls go nuts for that has got a lot to do with the whole vampire, undying-love (literally!) stuff. Which is that the main character, Bella, considers herself clumsy and awkward and not particularly beautiful, which I think speaks to at least 90 percent of how girls felt in high school. And then the coolest, hottest, most unattainable boy in school picks her out as the object of his affection. This is heady heady crack-for-girls stuff already. So then they cast Robert Pattinson in the role.

Oh look, I wrote about this in the Observer when the first one came out!

Josh: I remember that place! That piece, too.

Sara: Anyway, Robert Pattinson had the tough job of filling the shoes of a character that is described at length as being preternaturally good-looking, and he succeeded because, among other things, he happens to be preternaturally good looking. He just is.

And Twilight became a huge success. And now he can't walk down the street without people asking him to bite them, which means he did a very, very good job. And now, three films later and with two more on the way, he has a tough road ahead getting people to forget about him as Edward Cullen but to see him as Robert Pattinson, the actor.

Josh: Given the fact that he is at this point kind of the embodiment of vampiretainment, is it not slightly unrealistic to expect that people are going to stop asking him to bite them anytime soon?

Sara: If this is a delicate way of asking me if I asked him to bite me during our interview, let me state clearly for the record that I did not.

Francis Lawrence Says Robert Pattinson Is "Naturally Perfect" For The Part Jacob Jankowski

Well I think that's something we knew already but it's nice to hear Francis Lawrence say it too!
Read what else he has to say about Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and "Water For Elephants" below.

Setting a moving love story during the Great Depression might prove quite a challenge, especially considering it unfolds in this whole mysterious world of a traveling circus, no less. But director Francis Lawrence turns Sara Gruen’s acclaimed novel into a sweeping, cinematic drama for the silver screen, and one that promises to take its audience into a world beyond the thrill of the circus and into the life under the Big Top.

“Water for Elephants” follows the story of Jacob (played by Robert Pattinson of “Twilight” fame), whose world changes dramatically after his parents die in a car accident. Boarding a train out of town, he soon realizes he inadvertently joins a circus train where he meets equestrian star, Marlena (Reese Witherspoon).

The love that develops between Jacob and the married Marlena is compelling, and Lawrence is grateful that his main cast has truly been up to the task. In casting Witherspoon in the role of Marlena, Lawrence says, “Reese was the first person I cast in the film and she was a great creative partner in the early days when we were putting this project together.”

Rob Pattinson Interview with Box Office Magazine on why “Water for Elephants” was a “No-brainer”

You’re incredibly busy. What is it aboutWater for Elephants that made you decide this was the film you wanted to do next?

When I first met Francis, we met at the elephant sanctuary where Tai the elephant lived. I got along with him really, really well in the car. We arrived at this place, met the elephant and he was showing us all the tricks that it was going to do in the movie—it was such an incredible day and just the environment of being around elephants was the first major thing. I loved the idea of working on such a peaceful set because just being around them is incredibly peaceful. Also, having done so many stressful things over the previous year, when I read the script and the book and loved them both, it just felt like I could add something to it. Then it had Reese and Christoph on it and I felt like you can’t really get a better cast, and that was about it. I thought it was kind of a no-brainer, really.

Kristen Stewart mentioned by “One the Road” screenwriter Jose Rivera and Goth Rocker Peter Murphy

Looks like Kristen Stewart has some fans out there. In 2 separate interview, On the Road screenwriter and Goth rocker Peter Murphy had this to say about Kristen :
Jose Rivera, ‘On The Road’ Scriptwriter talks about Kristen and her character, Marylou :
“Kristen Stewart plays Marylou, and she’s really the female lead of the film. She’s the only woman that goes on the journey with the guys and is sassy and crazy in her own way. One of the great things that we had, before the film was shot, was Marylou’s actual daughter, Anne Marie, was part of production. She and Kristen spent a lot of time together talking about her mom and stuff like that.”
Peter Murphy, a famous English rock musician and goth icon who had a cameo in Eclipse as the ‘Cold One’ said the following :

Emily Browning explains why she didn’t want to play Bella

Emily Browning is busy promoting her upcoming film Sucker Punch, and in a recent interview with IndieWire, she discussed her decision not to audition for the role of Bella Swan for the first Twilight movie.

Robert Pattinson Lets "Dark" Magazine (France) Into Some Animal Secrets In A New Interview

Robert Pattinson : “I feel better working with animals than with people “.

When you are a young actor, handsome and you are so famous thanks to Twilight, you might be trapped forever in this outbreaking role. But Robert’s talent is linked to his ability to keep on working on sets and playing characters completely different from Edward Cullen. After the drama Remember Me, it’s in another love story we can see him with Academy Awards winners Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) and Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds). For Dark Magazine , he talks about his unusual experience while playing Jacob , a young man who must drop his veterinary studies after a family tragedy, and he decides to change his way of life joining a circus . He will fall for a young woman , Marlena , and more surprisingly for an elephant : Rosie. This story is set in the 1930s in America.. In theaters on May 4th.(France)

Translation Of Robert Pattinson Interview From"Style" Magazine (Italy)

Translation (Please keep in mind that some things can be lost in translation) The real prototype of these generational mutations is Rob Pattinson: 24 years old, an Englishman in Hollywood, where he became
famous worldwide playing the pale vampire Edward Cullen (and, even before, Cedric Diggory, a model student at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series). He jokingly admits to be “ nothing special, one of those who live in hotels and travel the world ” . However, he created a new masculine identity, surprising even for the Facebook sub-culture who ’ s made him a star via the social network. Today is the eve of an important test
for him: his new movie, WFE: he ’ s the protagonist of a melodramatic film, set in a circus, from the bestselling book by Sara Gruen. […]

Having been labelled as a teen idol, you ’ re now being tested as a true actor.
I had this chance to act with Cristoph Waltz and I fall in love with Marlena (Reese), his wife. Travelling with the circus, I visit areas of America far from Hollywood. There are dark secrets in this movie, as in life. And there ’ s this idea of life- saving love, which I believe in. I ’ m not cheesy, but I have a romantic soul.

Do you get on well with girls?
I grew up with two older sisters, and I have a great respect for women. I hate the lack of prudishness, I get bored when people are ostentatious of their body. Sex and feeling for me walk side-by-side.

Your rock side: people say you spend nights with your friends listening to Tom Waits, Van Morrison and the late Jeff Buckley.
Music is a key aspect of my life. I wish I could play a movie about Buckley, his voice, his songwriting gave me a lot. I ’ m interested in his creativity, in his existence, even in his death by drowning in 1997, in the Mississippi.

What kind of use do you do of Internet? A practical use. My favourite movie last year was The Social Network and one day I ’ d like to work with David Fincher. Everything he does is
interesting, and he got the best out of an actor I
really admire, Jesse Eisenberg.

Mr. Pattinson, you ’ re an idol. Who’ s yours?
Jack Nicholson. He had a huge career and he always owned his characters. Whereas, in the end, for a lot of people, I am just Edward the vampire and in my life I ’ m just Robert. We share the same hairstyle. But when I read an entire article about my hair, I laugh my best British laugh.

By the way: what brought you from London to Hollywood?
Difficult work perspectives. I didn ’ t have great experiences as an actor, I had posed rather awkwardly as a model; then, cinema. In Vanity Fair I was Reese ’ s son, while in this last movie I’ m her lover.

To be honest, not a great curriculum. No, and I wasn ’ t even sure if I wanted to be an actor; I had always thought I was going to be a writer or a musician. But then I fell In love with the adventurous aspect of cinema And I found the discipline, the ethic, and let me tell you, the inner call, which helped me to give a proper structure to my life.

Fame was next, a non-human fame the vampire. How did Rob Pattinson protect his persona from fans only interested in a celebrity?
I am a cinephile, I’ ve always loved cinema. It ’ s a passion. Cinema has the most important, and the truest communicative task: it makes us dream, it broadens our imagination, and yes, it can help us become better people. I started studying French just because I was interested in the nouvelle vague director Godard. All of this doesn ’ t make me a “ celebrity ” even if I later entered the Hollywood system.

How important was your family in your education?

I have a solid family behind me, two sisters, Lizzie is a musician like me; yes I play piano and guitar and I even wrote songs for Twilight. I remain an Englishman, I still remember my days in a public school, the Harrodian, where I wasn ’ t an extraordinary student, but always curious and open to cultural variety. My family taught me a sense of reality, of duty, the refusal of any kind of hysteria and I ’ ve never considered myself superior to Americans because I ’ m from London. I hate every kind of snobbery: it has often racism behind it.

We know very little about your life. As a man and an actor, how would you describe yourself?
My father Richard sold cars for years, my mother works as an agent in the show business. I started acting almost by chance at school and I played in a band. I never asked for too many clothes and shoes, and I’ ve never been a social climber and I’ ll never be. I read a lot and I still do; my favourites are the Russian writers Dostoevskij, Nabokov. They make fun of me on set because I’ m always reading stuff. Lately I ’ ve been reading again my favourite English writer Martin Amis. His books are extraordinary accounts of contemporary life and psychology.

What was the turning point from the status of young actor to superstar?
I came to a point where I said: I ’ m going to be a professional actor, looking for the origins of my characters, making something real out of this ephemeral job. This will allow me to live the life I want to live, to be active in green politics, to be a citizen of the world. Fame is an handicap, not a privilege, it often complicates things. I try to not fall in the web of top class hotels, first-class flights, designers sending you tons of stuff, thousands of girls everywhere..

Can you resist everything? Can you define yourself by what you refuse? You ’ re immune to gossip?
My private life is off-limit. I ’ ve never spoken about my flirts, I ’ m not a man for short and superficial love affairs. I don ’ t talk about my relationships with female friends, not to mention how I don ’ t talk about my relationship with Kristen Stewart, an actress I admire because she ’ s a real person, and a real actress. It was the chemistry I had with her helped me to get my role in Twilight. I don ’ t let people take pics of the houses I rented both in New York and London. When I ’ m in L.A. I live mostly in hotels. You can live very well in the anonymity of a hotel room, especially when you have a piano to play.

Entertainment Weekly : Robert Pattinson Moves Beyond 'Twilight'

Twilight-fans, take heart: Robert Pattinson is every bit as good-looking and thick-maned as he appears onscreen. But don’t confuse him with his brooding characters — the 24-year-old actor is surprisingly open, chatty, and quick to laugh. Pattinson talked with EW last week about his upcoming film Water for Elephants (in theaters April 22), in which he plays a traveling-circus veterinarian who falls for the show’s star attraction, played by Reese Witherspoon. He also discussed what his future might look like once he’s finished with Twilight. “You can never really predict what an audience wants or how to maintain a career,” he says, “other than doing what you think is cool.” But, Pattinson laughs, “Generally, what I think is cool is what everyone else hates.”

Filming for the final two installments of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will wrap next month, and there’s one thing Pattinson says he won’t miss — the contact lenses he’s had to wear to play Edward. “My God, I’ll be glad to see the last of those,” he says. “I actually want to get some kind of plastic explosive. I want to reanimate them into something so I can kill them. It’s so embarrassing for me — after so many years, it’s still a process every single morning. Everybody else has figured out how to do it, and then there’s two people holding me down because I can’t do it myself.”

To prepare for ABC's two-hour "Best in Film" special which debuted yesterday, the network released a montage lead-in for their "Best Movie Kiss Ever" category, and the kiss between Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) in 2008's Twilight was included as "the kiss that makes your blood rush."

Wendell Pierce will portray a human in 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'

Last October, a list of castmembers added to portray supporting role characters in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn was announced, and still most of those actors' characters for the film(s) are unknown.

(Note: Ty Olsson has since been revealed as Bella's stepfather, "Phil Dwyer," for the films; that character was portrayed briefly by Matt Bushell in 2008's Twilight).

Wendell Pierce of the hit HBO series Treme was one of them.

Robert Pattinson On The Shortlist For "Akira"?

As you might remember in Robert Pattinson's MTV Interview Josh asked Rob about the rumours about "Daredevil" which Rob immediately said were not true but then went to reveal something that he might consider. He quickly changed his mind and decided not to say in case he got chased by fanboys.

Could this be what he was talking about? (Or actually not talking about)
Deadline reports that Rob maybe shortlisted for the Tetsuo character in the Hollywood version of the manga anime "Akira".

Here's what Deadline has to say

The script for the Warner Bros/Legendary Pictures live action adaptation of anime artist Katsuhiro Otomo’s 6-volume graphic novel Akira has been sent to a short list of actors. The picture is finally taking shape for an August start, following the delivery of a rewrite by Steve Kloves that has director Albert Hughes and the studio brass excited. The story takes place in the rebuilt New Manhattan where a leader of a biker gang saves his friend from a medical experiment. There are two major roles, and I'm told that for Tetsuo, Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield and James McAvoy have been given the new script. For the role of Kaneda, the script has been given to Garrett Hedlund, Michael Fassbender, Chris Pine, Justin Timberlake and Joaquin Phoenix. The two leads are expected to come from that group of actors.

Andrew Lazar is producing with Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran. Akira has been one of Warner Bros' high priority projects since the studio with Legendary Pictures acquired it for a 7-figure sum 2 years ago from manga publisher Kodansha. The intention has been to make 2 films, each covering 3 books in the series. Akira was first adapted for the screen in 1988.

This is a fanmade trailer but I thought it was the best one as it explains the story pretty well. SO this is what we would be in for (if there's any truth in it) What do you think?

*NEW* Robert Pattinson Photo & Interview In Elle Magazine (Russia)

Briefly coming out of "Twilight" to give "Water for Elephants", the most charming vampire in the world, Robert Pattinson talked with Galina Galkina.

They say you agreed to participate in the movie "Water for Elephants" only after meeting your partner - Tai the elephant. How did she win you?
Rob: Her trainer asked me "Do you want to see what tricks she can do?" It turns out that Tai can do a parody of a horse and even a chicken! When the trainer asked her to show a horse, she did this "Frrr!" sound. How can you get an elephant to do this? She knows how to play ball and even can make a stand at the forelegs. And I thought, "This is an amazing animal! I was very lucky that I was invited to be in a movie with her!"
