R-Pattz "Would Love" To Play A Superhero

Robert Pattinson may be best known for his role as a bloodsucking vampire in Twilight, but the hunky actor has revealed that he longs to play a superhero.

During his exclusive 30-minute interview with our US Team, R-Pattz admitted that he would love to play a character with special powers, but refused to reveal which superhero he has his eye on portraying.
When asked if he would like to star in a superhero flick, the 24-year old replied: "I'd love to, definitely. I don't what superhero you'd do. Is there any left?"

He added: "I shouldn't even say this stuff, because all the little fanboys will be like, 'No! I'm gonna shoot him!'"

While Rob may want to play a superhero, reports have suggested that Pattinson is "in talks" to star as Tetsuo in Warner Brother's adaptation of the 1988 manga film, Akira.

According to Deadline, R-Pattz is in the running to star in the Albert Hughes directed movie, as well as the likes of Justin Timberlake, Leonardo Dicaprio and James Franco.

Brad Pitt, Zac Efron and Morgan Freeman have also allegedly been linked roles in the project, which will apparently start shooting in August.
