First trailer for 'Twilight' star Jackson Rathbone's 'Aim High' series revealed

The first teaser trailer for Jackson Rathbone ("Jasper Hale" in the Twilight series)'s forthcoming web series, Aim High, has just been unveiled at Entertainment Weekly.

Last November, we saw on-set photos of Rathbone preparing for his role in the series, and then later that month, the first official stills from the show were unveiled.

Rathbone later talked about Aim High, saying:

"We’re making this really interesting . . . web series if you will. It’s a new media content piece . . . I play a character Nick Greene who is a high school student and also leads a double life as a U.S. operative. So, basically, during the day he’s trying to get the girl of his dreams, and at night he goes out and stops Russian mercenaries from stealing radioactive parts."

The trailer reflects the same - that this is a series about a high school guy leading a very interesting double life, fit with all the trappings of normal high school life (romance, teasing, etc.) through the day but with a grave amount of responsibility at night.

He told EW, "There is a general, overarching nemesis in this first season, but at the same time, it’s about following this kid as he tries to navigate faking a normal life in high school and hiding his operative element to the rest of the school."

The series debuts on August 1st on Facebook, apparently, and is being produced by Warner Brothers.

It's certainly a revolutionary concept to have an entire show be broadcast exclusively online, so Jackson Rathbone might be part of a really big step in entertainment with this one. More details as they come.
