'Twilight' cast news wrap: snagging roles left and right

Several castmembers from the Twilight series have snagged new roles in other films, so to keep the news short and simple, here's a wrap-up of the latest on that front.

For starters, Anna Kendrick ("Jessica Stanley") is reportedly being considered to portray Jake Gyllenhaal's love interest in End Of Watch. According to Variety, "Story follows the longtime partnership of two LAPD officers as they confront marriage, love, fatherhood and the harsh realities of the Los Angeles streets. Kendrick and [Natalie] Martinez will play the officers' love interest." Kendrick has been doing some really impressive work lately, so it's no surprise that she's being considered here. Her next film, 50/50, hits theaters in September.
Kendrick is also involved with ParaNorman, which has just been joined by a fellow Twilight Saga alum, Jodelle Ferland ("Bree Tanner" in Eclipse). According to About.com, the movie summary is as follows:

In ParaNorman, a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst of all, moronic grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
a surf-wear store and eventually build an empire." Sounds interesting, right? Since being in Eclipse, Samuel has landed parts in Anonymous, A Few Best Men, and Bait.

Lastly, Bryce Dallas Howard ("Victoria" in Eclipse) got some praise from her father, director Ron Howard, for her next project, a film which she'll direct. Check that out at CNN.
