BD2 has a big change in the movie from the book. As per a quote from Robert Pattinson
“When I first read the script, I got to that part and was like, ‘What?’
It's not really clear on what "that part" is, but some speculate that they've changed the ending of the film to leave it open for another movie. Whatever changes were made they were devised by both Stephanie Meyer and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg.
