Billy Burke lands a role in 'Freaky Deaky'

In Twilight, and in several projects before it, Billy Burke ("Charlie Swan" in the Saga) portrays a police officer. There's just something about his wholesome face that lends itself to that sort of role. Usually, too, Burke plays a "good cop." That's not to say, of course, that he hasn't dabbled in characters of evil during his career (his latest, Drive Angry 3D and even Red Riding Hood, exemplify that) . . .

Still, the latest piece of casting news to come down about Burke follows the same tradition. According to Variety, Billy Burke has landed a role in Freaky Deaky.
Burke is now set to play an LAPD bomb squad officer who stumbles upon two former hippie activists plotting to use their bomb-making skills to bilk a movie mogul out of millions.

The full plot, naturally, isn't included in the announcement, but if I were the betting sort, I'd put ten on the fact that he'll be the hero of the story.

Undoubtedly, Burke required in his contract that he wouldn't have to don the cop-stache for this one.
