Kristen Stewart Will Start Shooting ‘Snow White’ In September!

Kristen Stewart is wasting no time between films. Production on Twilight: Breaking Dawn, which will hit Scottsdale theaters in November, has just wrapped up, and the actress is ready to begin production on Snow White and the Huntsman. The Hollywood Life reported on Friday that production on that film would start in September. Stewart will play the title role of Snow White in the film.

Despite rumors that Kristen Stewart’s movie may be shelved because of the version of Snow White starring Julia Roberts and Taylor Lautner’s girlfriend Lily Collins, we hear from an insider that shooting is set to begin in September.

There have been whispers around Hollywood that Kristen Stewart‘s Snow White and the Huntsman film might be put on the backburner or cancelled altogether because of the hype that’s already building around Tarsem Singh‘s Snow White. Tarsem’s version features Taylor Lautner‘s girlfriend Lily Collins as Snow White and Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen with Armie Hammer playing the prince. However, an insider exclusively tells HollywoodLife.com that K-Stew’s Snow White will be shooting in the middle of September!Kristen stars opposite Charlize Theron‘s Evil Queen and a yet-to-be-determined Prince Charming and Huntsman character. Hugh Jackman was previously linked to the Huntsman role, but turned it down. Viggo Mortensen has also left the project.

Our source says, “There is no stalling whatsoever on Kristen’s movie. Everything is currently on schedule and they are trying to make sure they get the movie done for a Christmas 2012 release. They will be shooting in the middle of September.”

That will make for a busy fall for our beloved K-Stew! She will have a new movie to film and two movies, On the Road and Breaking Dawn, to promote!

Lily and Julia’s version is scheduled to hit theaters in June 2012, are the movie execs of Kristen’s Snow White worried about the competition? “The only thing execs have really discussed concerning the other Snow White film was the fact that Julia Roberts’s version might come out on DVD at the same time Kristen Stewart’s version is released. They are not worrying about it at all.”
