Vancouver Observer's Open letter to Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner

Dear Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner,

This is your last day filming in British Columbia, and we'd like to say good-bye. How fast time flies. It seems like just yesterday that Robert and Kristen were spotted in a hotel here in Vancouver, while filming some scenes for Breaking Dawn. Is it true that you stayed in the Sheraton?

We heard that you were really nice and cool, and people quickly started to speculate that you two were real-life lovers. Almost everyone in Vancouver agreed that you two were incredibly cute together. Robsten 4 Life.

Thank you for choosing our dark rain forest to play out your vampire and werewolf fantasies. Tofino really was the perfect place for you to protect your delicate skin. We are glad you got to stay at the Black Rock Resort and sorry that the tsunami temporarily scared you away.

You allowed us to play make believe with you. Girls and boys everywhere became pale faces and girls started to paint their lips blood red.

It was so much fun having you here. K-Stew, we hope you had a wonderful 21st birthday in Squamish. Are you enjoying your new motorcycle. Did you get to climb the Chief? Please don't be too angry with Ashley Greene. Hollywood Life reported that she "ditched" your birthday and was found shopping at the Grove shopping centre at Zara on April 9. How dare she, right? She also missed the cast and crew party. In fact, she was absent during several Breaking Dawn events. I'm sure it wasn't personal. It's just that the shopping in Squamish is so unusual and incredible.

Boo Boo, thank you for the wave. You helped free the 13-year-olds trapped in all of us. Nice red car, by the way.

We hope you enjoyed your stay, and that the locals treated you well.

You've helped bring fame to many businesses. For example, there are tweens who were crowding Booster Juice in the hopes of seeing you. It's their new favourite hangout spot.

Now that the fourth and final Twilight movie has wrapped up, enjoy your downtime.

You deserve it.

We heard from msnbc.com that Taylor is "relieved" but thinks that it's a "bummer" that it's ended.

"It's mixed emotions, for sure," he told MTV news. "Half of me says, 'This will be a relief. I get some time off, I get to spend some time with family and friends and do other things,' but the other half says, 'This is going to be so weird.' I've been filming with these people for years, so it will definitely be a bummer."

Just writing to tell you that it will be a bummer for us too. Twilight has been great. You generated ridiculously high traffic stats. Twinormous. Our Twi-coverage has been picked up by various celebrity blogs, like E! Online and Hollywood Life, and our articles are showing up at the tops of pages on Google searches on your names. Thank you.

You have caused our site to crash several times. We kept upgrading to new and larger packages to accomodate all the people who wanted to read about you. But with you in B.C., the packages were never big enough. So, we hate to see you go. And we want to give you our best wishes on future movie shoots. Best of luck.

(Robert, you're looking super cute in Water for Elephants.)
