Bella and Jacob Top Baby Names of 2010!

According to the US Social Security Administration Isabella and Jacob top the list of most popular baby names for a second year in a row!

WASHINGTON, May 5 (UPI) -- Jacob and Isabella were the most popular U.S. children's names in 2010 for the second year in a row, the Social Security Administration reported Thursday.

They were followed by Ethan and Michael for boys and Sophia and Emma for girls. The Top 10 names were fairly stable with the only new arrival being Aiden, at No. 9 on the boys' list, knocking Joshua out of the Top 10.

For the first time since 1954 when Elvis Presley burst on the scene with his recording of "That's All Right, Momma," Elvis was not one of the thousand most popular names.

Celebrities did a lot to boost some names. Maci and Bentley gained the most for girls' and boys' names, presumably because of Maci Bookout of the reality show "Teen Mom" and her son, Bentley.

Kellan was another big gainer followed by Knox. Kellan Lutz plays Emmett Cullen in the "Twilight" movies, while Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt named one of their twins Knox.

Tiana, the name of the princess in "The Princess and the Frog," continued its upward rise as a girl's name.

Officials noted one continuing trend, the return of girls' names like Isabella, Sophia and Chloe that were common in the first half of the 20th century. That suggests a 50-year cycle because many girls are named after their grandmothers.
