Robert Pattinson has revealed exclusively to MTV News that he hopes his smooch with Kristen Stewart in Twilight Saga: Eclipse can win the coveted Best Kiss gong at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.
The hunky actor, whose snog with real-life lover K-Stew has bagged him the Golden Popcorn for two years running, claims that he will be disappointed if they do not win the award for the third time in a row at the ceremony next month.
When asked what his secret is when it comes to winning the Best Kiss accolade, R-Pattz sighed: "I don’t know. I mean - I thought I won it three times?! Did I win it three – [laughs]. It’s kind of terrifying if you suddenly stop winning it, you’re like ‘Oh God!’."
The 24-year old added: "It’s almost worse than if you stop winning like, acting awards or whatever. If you can’t kiss anymore, it’s like 'What?! I’m still good at kissing!'”
The likes of Nicki Minaj and Selena Gomez will be on hand to present the winners with their Golden Popcorn trophies at the 20th annual MTV Movie Awards, which will air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET.
